The best saves from Week 5 of the 2026-27 NHL season are here, featuring impossible paddle stops, acrobatic robberies and some spectacular old-school goaltending.
Mackenzie Blackwood puts together a highlight-reel week, flashing the glove to rob Matt Coronato on a point-blank 2-on-1 before holding the post with a huge toe save on Connor Bedard. Adin Hill also makes multiple spectacular appearances, somehow keeping Tim Stützle out with a desperation arm save before breaking out an acrobatic two-pad stack to deny Jack Hughes.
Plus, Sebastian Cossa stretches across for a ridiculous blocker stop on Sidney Crosby, Jesper Wallstedt channels Dominik Hasek with an incredible spinning recovery, Anton Forsberg miraculously gets his paddle on Ryan Donato’s chance at a wide-open net, Darcy Kuemper breaks out the scorpion save on Nick Cousins and Stuart Skinner stretches out the skate blade to deny Seth Jarvis and the defending Stanley Cup champion Hurricanes.
