The World Health Organization (WHO) says suspected cholera cases in Yemen have tripled in three weeks.
That’s placing a burden on hospitals already battling to treat people injured in the latest conflict.
The disease is spread through contaminated food and water.
Saaid Said Omar, acting country director for Islamic Relief in Yemen, tells Al Jazeera cholera is spreading fast in overcrowded displacement camps with no clean water or latrines, putting children under five, pregnant women and the elderly most at risk.
